Cheek Lift
The cheek lift, or midface lift, by percutaneous cheek suspension is a minimally-invasive procedure able to improve the appearance of nasolabial folds, prominent lower eye sockets, and sagging skin of the cheek and midface region. During the surgery, the cheek and midface region are lifted, resulting in a more youthful appearance.
If you are seeking an improvement in the appearance of the cheek and midface region, then the percutaneous cheek lift may be a good option for you. Dr. Wise is happy to meet with you for a consultation to discuss the possibilities available to you through cosmetic surgery and whether or not the percutaneous cheek lift can best address your needs. Because the surgery cannot provide the same dramatic or long-lasting results of a full facelift, it is often reserved for younger patients with less extensive sagging.
The percutaneous cheek lift is commonly performed with minimal sedation. Incisions made for the surgery are located within the hairline at the temple. The hidden location of the incisions allows for minimal visible scarring. During the surgery, suture loops which are placed through the incisions and under the skin of the midface are used to lift the cheek fat pads.
After the percutaneous cheek lift, patients can expect a generally mild recovery. As with all surgery, some temporary swelling and bruising can be expected. Some minor discomfort may also occur. The overall recovery is shorter and less extensive than after a traditional facelift.
