Chin and Facial Augmentation
Chin augmentation and other facial implants can provide harmony and balance to a face. Dr. Wise performs chin and facial augmentation through inconspicuous incisions that are often made through the mouth rather than the outside of the face. Chin augmentation, in particular, is often a useful adjuvant technique during rhinoplatsy. For example, a weak chin will often make the nose appear more prominent. Oftentimes, placement of a small chin implant brings more balance to middle and lower thirds of the face. Recovery after chin or facial implants varies by individual and site of implantation. Discomfort is minimized by very small incisions and meticulous technique.
